ITINERARY:

DAY 1: USA / PARIS

  • Fly overnight to Paris, France.

DAY 2: PARIS

  • Bienvenue à Paris! Upon arrival, meet your Forum Tour Manager at the airport who will remain with you throughout your tour.
  • Transfer to your hotel and drop off your bags and take some time to freshen up.
  • This afternoon, stroll down the most famous avenue of the capital: Champs Elysées. Climb the top of the Arc de Triomphe to admire the view.
  • Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant with your group.
  • Overnight accommodation in Paris.

DAY 3: PARIS

  • Enjoy breakfast at your hotel.
  • This morning, you will have a guided visit of the Musée du Louvre. One of the world’s great museums, it houses the finest European painting, sculpture and objets d’art from the Middle Ages to the beginnings of Impressionism. Plus, it has an unrivalled collection of antiquities from Egypt, the Middle East, Greece and Rome.
  • Then, explore the lively Quartier latin with your Tour Manager. Some of the most famous XIX century’s writers sat at these cafés.
  • This afternoon, explore the Île de la Cité and partake in a treasure hunt!
  • Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant with your group.
  • Overnight accommodation in Paris.

DAY 4: PARIS

  • Enjoy breakfast at your hotel.
  • After, admire the view from the third floor of the Tour Eiffel on Le-Champs-de-Mars Square.
  • Then, visit the Opera Garnier. Built on the orders of Napoleon III and completed in 1875, it features golden statues, a Grand Staircase and sumptuous painted ceilings.
  • Enjoy some shopping at Gallerie Lafayette.
  • Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant with your group.
  • Overnight accommodation in Paris.

DAY 5: PARIS / AVIGNON

  • After breakfast at your hotel, catch the TGV Train to Avignon.
  • On arrival, check into your hotel and drop off your bags.
  • Then, meet your local guide for a guided tour of the city. Explore the café-lined Place de l’Horloge.
  • Visit Palais des Papes with its massive stone vaults, battlements and sluices for pouring hot oil on attackers.
  • Enjoy dinner and overnight accommodation in Avignon.

DAY 6: AVIGNON 

  • After breakfast at your hotel, stop at Pont du Gard – a Roman aqueduct built in the middle of the 1st Century A.D. Visit the water channels!
  • Then continue onto Uzès – a small town and commune in southern France. Visit its famous market! (only on Wednesday and Saturday morning)
  • Have some free time for lunch.
  • Continue onto Vergèze and visit Perrier – home of the famous French mineral water.
  • Return to Avignon and enjoy some free time to explore on your own.
  • Enjoy dinner and overnight accommodation in Avignon.

DAY 7: ROUSSILLON – SALON EN PROVENCE

  • Enjoy breakfast at your hotel.
  • After, visit the beautiful village of Roussillon.
  • Hike the Sentier des Ocres and enjoy the beautiful views along the trail.
  • Visit the Salon de Provence and learn how soap is made!
  • Return to Avignon for dinner and overnight accommodation.

DAY 8: AVIGNON / NICE

  • Enjoy breakfast at your hotel.
  • After, go kayaking along Gorge Verdon– considered to be one of Europe’s most beautiful river canyons.
  • Continue to Grasse, considered the world’s capital of perfume.
  • Visit the Fragonard Parfumeur and learn how perfume is made!
  • Head to Nice for dinner and overnight accommodation.

DAY 9: NICE

  • Enjoy breakfast at your hotel.
  • Visit the famous Confiserie Florian and learn the art of chocolate and candy.
  • After, partake in a cooking class!
  • Then, visit Cours Saleya in Old-Nice. Enjoy the various open air flower, fruit and vegetable markets.
  • Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.
  • Dinner and overnight accommodation in Nice.

DAY 10: DEPART

  • After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to the airport for your flight(s) back home.
