ITINERARY: 

DAY 1: TRAVEL TO QUEBEC CITY  

  • Departure from your local airport to Montreal.
  • Arrive in Montreal where your Forum Tour Manager will greet you.
  • Transfer by private bus to Quebec City.
  • Once in Quebec City, stretch your legs and head on a guided walking tour of the city. Discover the secrets of Old Québec, journey through St-Louis Street where you will admire the old town’s fortifications.
  • Meet your Host Family and get to know each other over dinner.

DAY 2: QUEBEC CITY

  • Breakfast with your host family.
  • Meet up with your Forum Tour Manager and head on a visit to a local high school.
  • Participate in classes with French Canadian students.
  • Have lunch at the school cafeteria with your new classmates.
  • Partake in “The Military” workshop. Under the command of Generals Wolfe and Montcalm, re-enact the 1759 battle on the Plains of Abraham.
  • Enjoy the atmosphere of the Winter Carnival as you walk through the grounds of the Place Desjardins, the main carnival venue.
  • Return to your host family for dinner and night accommodation.

DAY 3: QUEBEC CITY

  • Enjoy an early breakfast with your host family.
  • This morning you will discover the magnificent Parc de la Chute Montmorency with waterfalls rising higher than those of Niagara Falls.
  • Visit Ste-Anne-de-Beaupré Basilica, a true medieval inspiration and Québec’s most beautiful church.
  • Enjoy lunch in a traditional Cabane à Sucre — tour the sugar shack, savor a lumberjack meal, and learn some traditional folk songs and dances.
  • This afternoon, get ready for a unique winter adventure — dog sledding! Visit the gentle huskies and receive an introduction to basic sledding techniques before you start.
  • In the evening, attend the night parade in Quebec City.
  • Return to your host family for dinner and night accommodation.

DAY 4: QUEBEC CITY/ MONTREAL

  • Enjoy your last breakfast with your host family before giving a warm “au revoir” to your Québécois family.
  • This morning, view the most famous canoe race on ice as part of the carnival festivities.
  • After, board your private bus to Montreal, the largest city in Quebec province.
  • Lunch en route.
  • Upon arrival, check into your centrally located hotel and drop off your bags.
  • Head to Musée Grévin. This wax museum is modeled after its famous counterpart in France but with a Québécois twist. Become acquainted with famous French Canadian actors, politicians and athletics.
  • Next, head to Old Montreal and admire the Notre Dame Basilica.
  • Enjoy dinner with your Forum Tour Manager in a local restaurant.
  • Burn off some energy by enjoying some time on the rink; located in the downtown area of Vieux Montreal, the outdoor skating rink is popular among locals and visitors.
  • Return to your hotel for night accommodation.

DAY 5: MONTREAL

  • After breakfast at your hotel, your Forum Tour Manager will take you to the world’s largest underground city; A paradise for shopping.
  • Free time for lunch.
  • Transfer to the airport by private bus and board your return flight home.
